Deceased Name: BERNICE M. BLUSTIN

Bernice M. Blustin, 82, formerly of Edgewood Vista, passed away July 26, 2002, at the Benedictine Health Care Center.

 

She was born August 17, 1919, in Duluth, to Benjamin and Rose Goldfarb London. She was married to Dr. Harold Blustin on February 6, 1944, and they were together until his death in 1994. She was a graduate of Central High School class of 1936, St. Scholastica - the Villa in 1940, and UMD as a Speech Therapist in 1968 working for ISD 709 at various elementary schools in Duluth. She volunteered at SMDC, Scottsdale Medical Center and the American Red Cross. She was a member of Temple Israel where she belonged to its sisterhood; Hadassah. She also belong to Temple Solel.

 

Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.

 

She is survived by her sons Terry (Linda) Blustin, Dr. Jeffrey (Debbie) Blustin; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother Ervin London of LaJolla, CA., and sister Rita Wine of St. Louis Park. Nieces and nephews also survive her. She will be remembered for her generosity and love of her family and friends.

 

FUNERAL SERVICES: Will be held Sunday, July 28, 11:30 AM at Temple Israel, 1601 E. Second Street, with burial to follow at Temple Emanuel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blustin Fund, C/O Temple Israel.
